ABSTRACT
In the decade since the publication of the first edition of Handbook for History Teachers the range, quantity and quality of aural and visual materials available for school use or for pupils of school age has increased considerably. Contributors were briefed to include audio-visual aids relevant to all school ages, and to state in respect of each item the particular age-group for which they considered it best suited. Many items have been consciously omitted on some topics, the aim being to provide a selective rather than a comprehensive guide. The price code indicates the purchase price of an item unless otherwise stated. Full information about conditions of hire and discounts are supplied in individual catalogues, and are usually communicated when a booking is made. It is probable that some errors were made, and apologies are due to all concerned.
