ABSTRACT

Slides of many of the excellent displays of Romano-British material to be seen in a number of museums throughout the country can be obtained direct from the museums, notably the British Museum and the Guildhall Museum in London, the Grosvenor Museum at Chester, the Verulamium Museum at St Albans, the Museum and Art Gallery, Reading, and the Museum of Antiquities of the University of Newcastle. The filmstrips, The Roman Conquest of Britain and Life in Roman Britain, though produced many years ago, are still excellent in quality and value, with an instructive blend of maps, diagrams and photographs. Postcards and booklets of the better sites abound, obtainable at the sites and in some cases from the Department of the Environment.
