ABSTRACT

Little has been produced specifically for school children, and much of the material available is blatant propaganda in connection with the Arab-Israeli dispute. The Kingdoms of Saudi Arabia was produced by the Government of Saudi Arabia and is available on free loan from Sound Services, as is The Road to Arafat. The Arab World is an interesting pro-Arab publication. It is issued free of charge from the London offices of the Arab League, χ Hay Hill, London WIX 3FE. Dealing only with the Arab countries, it is brief but factual. The refugee problem is one of continuing importance. United Nations Work and Relief Agency publishes a Newsletter every two months and an Annual Report. Both indicate a pro-Arab viewpoint and are obtainable free of charge on loan from CAABU. The chapter focuses on the dearth of good materials on the theme of Middle Eastern Studies.
