ABSTRACT

The aims of this chapter are to describe the shared reality concept, define the unique conceptual nature of dual direct and indirect positive responses such as shared growth and resilience in situations of shared reality and discuss instruments designed to assess the positive process related to it. In addition, based on semi-structured interviews, an analysis is presented of growth and resilience dynamics as manifested by trauma workers who both live and work in the same area under continuous threat, due to ongoing terror, and in the uniquely traumatizing context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
