ABSTRACT

Developing countries have not seen an extended period or even passed through the 1st and 2nd industrial revolutions. For this reason, those countries currently face the need to accelerate development that has been lagging in history. Today's world is already in the 4th revolution, which promotes the exponential growth of computing capacity and the combination of physical, digital, and biological technologies. However, due to COVID-19, the world needed to develop new ways of doing business to compensate for the losses of capital and labor. Evidence is also increasingly emerging regarding the link between the collapse of the environment and the outbreak of epidemics, along with repeated scientific reports showing that a global effort will be needed to contain and mitigate the climate crisis. Therefore, for the first time in its history, Brazil may have all the tools to turn around its economic development, reduce social differences, and keep the environment balanced. All it needs is to know how to use them since today's new technologies offer countless opportunities for developing inclusive businesses that can contribute to job creation while innovatively using the ecosystem services present in the country.
