ABSTRACT

To paraphrase Jim Collins’ quip about talent in the classic Good to Great, management is all about getting the right people onto the bus. As the business environment changes so must the methods we use to recruit, train, and retain great talent. The policies we have on how we do this can be a net positive for both our productivity and our work-life balance or they can help to foster negative reactions such as the Great Resignation, quiet quitting, or employees seeking out overemployment opportunities. With the right policies and procedures in place you can expand your pool of candidates and their effectiveness in their roles within the organization.
