ABSTRACT

In a world where employees spend less time in the presence of managers, leadership is becoming increasingly important. It provides the values, mission, and vision of what the world could look like if the team works together toward a collective goal. In this chapter we discuss the difference between management and leadership, and some of the forces that are influencing the increasing need for stronger leadership in a hybrid/remote world. We include some of the more popular leadership models, some of the situational factors, and some recommended actions for managers who wish to become better leaders.
