ABSTRACT

In the second of our joint chapters, Gilles Ambresin discusses changes in manifest dreams in psychoanalyses of MODE patients, which are considered psychoanalytically relevant indicators of transformations of the patient’s inner object world. He discusses that a systematic investigation of the changes in manifest dreams by the scale developed by the MODE team, DREAMS-C, may serve to build a bridge between psychoanalytic and academic psychotherapy research. He sees this approach as one example of contemporary translational research.
