ABSTRACT
Quite recently we have been told officially: (1) that it is now the. avowed object of the B.B.C. to make television a great national industry, (2) that the staff at Alexandra Palace at present numbers approximately 400 (which icludes 24 producers), and (3) that the old theatre at the palace is to be converted into a studio.
