ABSTRACT
Two new developments that are, with television, rapidly transforming our existing methods of communication are facsimile and frequency modulation. While they are separate services, all three systems bear a relation to each other. Their futures are intertwined. New to the public, they hold in common the promise of vastly changing the entire communication system, from which they are as different as modern radio is from the early crystal sets.
