ABSTRACT
In this chapter, retracing Piera Aulagnier's reflection, the author discusses the compensatory solution utilised by a patient in the face of a possible psychotic breakdown. In order to reach this compensation, the patient makes use of the relationship with a partner with whom she establishes pathological sharing. Mechanisms of massive projective identification and fusion/confusion underlie such types of links.
