ABSTRACT

Virtual human resource management (V-HRM) is an assortment of different technologies, which automates the HRM to effectively connect the employees with the virtual HR services. The purpose of this study is to understand why organizations are shifting paradigms towards V-HRM and to examine the impact of its strategic applications on employee performance and organizational efficiency. Cross-sectional descriptive research design was used in this research study. Data was collected from 31 organizations from three sectors (IT, ITES, and Healthcare) by convenience sampling technique, and 150 respondents participated in this study. Structural equation modelling (SEM) was executed using SPSS23 and AMOS23. This study mainly identified five major factors, namely, effective communication through V-HRM, flexible work schedules through V-HRM, forming virtual teams through V-HRM, human capital development through V-HRM, and employee recognition and benefits through V-HRM. It also recognized the positive impact of various factors on employee performance, which showed the positive influence on achieving organizational efficiency. The model of the study can help to enhance the workflow and efficiency of an organization.
