ABSTRACT
The Intensive Domiciliary Care Scheme (IDCS) for the Elderly Mentally III (EMI) started in Liverpool in May 1981. It is administered by Age Concern under joint finance arrangements with the Liverpool City Council and the Health Authority. This paper is an interim report on the DHSS financed research project to evaluate the scheme.
