Using Lesson Study to Aid Improvements in Communication with Employers in Further Education

In this chapter, a further education teacher, who participated in a masters-level Lesson Study module, discusses his Lesson Study experiences alongside his colleagues and co-researchers. The author explores the value of Lesson Study in improving students’ communication skills when interacting with employers. The chapter offers insight into developing students’ knowledge and understanding of the skills required to gain employment in the vocational sector of land and wildlife.
