ABSTRACT

In this chapter, a primary headteacher, who participated in a masters-level Lesson Study module, shares her Lesson Study experiences alongside a team of colleagues and co-researchers. The research team explored art and creativity to maximise pupil engagement working with a group of Year 4s (8–9 years old) with a range of diverse needs. The chapter offers insight into the transformative impact of Lesson Study within an educational setting characterised by high levels of deprivation.
