ABSTRACT

Part 4 explores wider contexts in relation to the development of Lesson Study in the region. In Chapter 12, Lucy Austin, the module evaluator, and a school leader, offers an account of the challenges collaborative Lesson Study presents to the prevailing organisational culture of the school system. In Chapter 13, Vicky Christoforatou, David Savage and Amanda Bell, Subject Leads in the Secondary Years Teacher Training Course at the UEA, offer different perspectives on the role of Lesson Study within Initial Teacher Education.
