ABSTRACT

This chapter demonstrates the impact of a masters-level Lesson Study module on the development of Lesson Study within the context of all-through school for children aged 4–16. The authors of this chapter design their collaborative Lesson Study and share a case description of their experience and findings. Their Lesson Study focuses on developing pupils’ inference skills across the primary and secondary phases. The chapter concludes that Lesson Study allows teachers and their pupils to deepen their understanding of literary texts.
