ABSTRACT
The foregoing chapters have provided an in depth, multi-disciplinary analysis of the proposed reform of local government finance throughout Britain. The various authors have each examined the 1986 Green Paper proposals from a different viewpoint and so it remains for this concluding chapter to give a broad overview of their main findings, conclusions and recommendations.
