ABSTRACT
‘I spend up to an hour each working day with pupils helping them to sort out their quarrels — from tittle-tattle about friends to fights and threats of violence. I am here to teach; I have a thousand and one demands on my time. I would like to do more for pupils but I haven't got the expertise for this sort of thing.’
