ABSTRACT
When the scene opens, there is a puppet near centre stage, making soup. Music in the background is tender, quiet. For several minutes the soup-making is undertaken, from cutting of vegetables, to stirring, to salting. The soup is tasted twice in this process. On the second tasting, the scene changes abruptly.
