ABSTRACT
The third largest country in South America at 1.29 million square kilometres (496,200 square miles), Peru's geography follows the Andes Mountains along the continent's Pacific coast from Ecuador and Colombia in the north through Chile and Bolivia in the south. Much of the country's eastern border is with Brazil.
