ABSTRACT
Taking the literal definition, differentiation is the process by which we recognize and respond to differences. In the context of the classroom this means:
getting to know and understand our pupils as learners;
identifying their individual needs;
reviewing our teaching styles and materials;
designing a programme of learning to match those needs.
