ABSTRACT

We start our discussion on the problem of evaluation of conferences. It may be of interest that the last issue of the International Social Science Bulletin deals with evaluation techniques, but unfortunately not in connection with conferences directly. However, the UNESCO Social Science Department is now engaged on preparing an evaluation of seminars, mainly of its own seminars, and last summer a professor of psychology wrote a preliminary description of methods and techniques whereby the evaluation of seminars might be conducted. A copy of that report, not yet published, should be available shortly.
