ABSTRACT
THIS paper is an attempt to show the particular kind or resistance which Christian symbolism produces when a certain point in analysis is reached. I have observed this in both Christian and Jewish patients, so I assume that the problem is independent of the traditional Christian and Jewish views. I have to limit myself to one case illustrating this resistance.
