ABSTRACT
Public interest in dyslexia or specific learning difficulty has increased substantially over the last decade, media coverage and so forth leading to a more informed perception of the dyslexic's difficulties and needs. That children in need are a first consideration goes almost without saying, but it is important to remember that the dyslexic child does not live in a vacuum. His 1 parents and family also have needs and these needs are very real.
