ABSTRACT
The carpet trade in Great Britain is at present localized in three main areas—Kidderminster, Yorkshire and Scotland. It is a relatively small industry with about 30,000 operatives spread over some 58 firms, which in 1937 produced approximately 40,000,000 square yards of carpeting valued at roughly £13,500,000.
