ABSTRACT
We clearly can have only summary and conjectural information on the behavior of the fossil primates. Probably as a result of their ways of life, these mammals most frequently escaped fossilization. They are generally found in a disunited, fragmented condition, and, even where the skeleton remains are abundant, the excavations have often been poorly conducted (especially if ancient investigations are concerned).
