ABSTRACT
The morphologist will welcome modern efforts (DeVore and Lee, 1963) to obtain an understanding of the behavior of primates in their natural habitats. For morphology is in many respects an expression of organ function and thereby is the result of an organism's adaptation. A knowledge of primate ecology therefore is an important key to the understanding of the particular status of organs and their structures.
