Nowadays, it may happen that while we are surfing the Internet, visiting music stores, listening to radio stations, watching MTV, or shopping in supermarkets, we might come across Sting's “Desert Rose.” Because of its virtuosic melismas, this music has an exotic and oriental, suggestive atmosphere, hypnotizing listeners.
