ABSTRACT

Nine building sealants have been exposed to natural and artificial weathering. Significant correlations in modulus changes between artificially and naturally weathered, freshly made sealants, have been found. Significant correlations have been found for artificially weathered, well cured, sealant and material that has been exposed to UK and Dubai weather for periods up to 6 1/2 years.

Measurements of modulus values on sealants that have been stored under standard conditions for up to 2 years show that some sealants require over twelve months before stability is achieved.
