ABSTRACT

The secular trend as a phenomenon means all the measurable and registrable changes by which we can control the existence and evidence of human biological regularity in subsequent generations. It manifests itself in different aspects of the development of the human organism. For example, positive change/increase in the parameters of the body parts and the physique. In newborns and in later developmental stages, the earlier occurrence of bodily, hormonal and biochemical maturation of the organism, the greater body height of children and teenagers at the same age, the higher final stature of younger generations, and changes of the proportions of the body, etc. These changes are well-known and well-demonstrated[1-10]. On the basis of reports about the secular trend changes some differences in the essence and the rate of the manifestation can be seen in different societies. Since the root of the secular trend changes originated also from the social and economic development of populations it seems natural to accept the evidence of the special characteristics in magnitude and in velocity, nevertheless the direction of these changes is similar.
