ABSTRACT
In origin the Abkhazian people are one of the most ancient inhabitants of the Caucasian Black Sea Littoral and linguistically (along with the Abazinians, Cherkess, Adyghes, Kabardians and Ubykhs) form the Abkhazo-Advghe language-family in the Western Caucasus.
