ABSTRACT
The 1990s will remain in the history of Abkhazia not only as a period of grievous political ordeals and destructive cataclysms, but also as a decade of active struggle for national-state self-determination, and as an epoch of hitherto unseen solidarity and consolidation of the Abkhazian people and the concentration of its strength, spirit and historical aspirations.
