ABSTRACT
Democracy, in its ideal form, necessarily involves the active participation of citizens in a country’s decision-making process. Such an involvement of the citizenry is made possible if citizens can exercise their inalienable right to information, consultation, intellectual exchange, and to making informed choices of government and policies.
