ABSTRACT

It is a great honor and pleasure for me to extend a warm welcome to all the distinguished speakers and participants of this Cusanus Congress in Tokyo. On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I wish to express my deepest appreciation to all of you gathered here, especially those who have traveled great distances from your home countries in Europe, Africa, and America to Waseda University in Tokyo to attend today’s meeting. This is the first congress on Cusanus to be held in Asia, and that fact adds even more of a feeling of privilege to my pleasant duty today.
