ABSTRACT
Interrogative sentences may be of the WH or open types. A variety of WH words is found, and the usual marker of an open question is an optional sentence-final particle 10' (with an extra-low falling tone). Stronger, 'interrogating' questions are marked by the optional sentence-final particle nil. In open questions, this marker replaces 10; in WH questions, it is used in addition to the WH word.
