ABSTRACT
This essay explores the historiography of Arab immigration to Argentina and addresses the following questions: how was the imaginary Argentina constructed? who are the Arabs that came to Argentina and why did they come? how did they assimilate? how did the Argentines receive Arab immigrants? and finally, what areas need further exploration?
