ABSTRACT
This chapter examines symbols of virility in bullfighting by comparing the rituals of the Andalusian corrida with those of bullfighting in the Camargue. It analyses the anthropomorphic representations of the bull and the distinct cultural significance of bullfighting in the two regions.
