ABSTRACT
In order to widen the range of topics covered in KABP and PR surveys, but bearing in mind local sensitivities and priorities, additional and optional sections of the WHO/GPA questionnaire were suggested. Their inclusion depended on the discretion of the principal investigator at each survey site. In this chapter, an analysis of three such optional sections is presented: sexually transmitted diseases, other than HIV; alcohol consumption; and injecting practices.
