ABSTRACT

The Association for Educational and Training Technology (AETT) has run highly successful conferences for 29 years now, but the 1995 Plymouth event was the last. During the late 1960s, the focus of the Association began to change. The planned learning movement was now past its peak. The author delighted to report that the new the Staff and Educational Development Association (SEDA) has made excellent start. It has an active and highly enthusiastic membership, and has already made plans to hold its first conference. It remains for author to say but three things: Hail SEDA Learning Technologies Group, may you live long and prosper! Farewell AETT, author and my fellow 'old fogies' will miss you! And finally, many, many thanks to Chris Bell, Mandy Bowden, Debbie McCarthy, Shirley McLean, Nick Rose, Serena Vellacott and all the other members of the Plymouth Conference Team; certainly gave AETT a memorable 'wake'.
