ABSTRACT
“If we ever lose Marabelle, we will have to hire three people to replace her,” said John Rollins. John was speaking as executive director of the retirement and nursing home where Marabelle Taylor serves as a “recycled senior.” At age eighty-one, Marabelle is gray-haired and a bit stoop-shouldered, but she seems as active and energetic as ever. She is “recycled” in the sense that she began a new career after retirement, reusing skills developed in an earlier career.
