ABSTRACT
The rhythm of a sentence is reflected in the child's graphic activity, and we quite frequently encounter further rudiments of such rhythmically depictive writing of complex speech clusters. It was not invention, but the primary effect of the rhythm of the cue or stimulus that was at the source of the first meaningful use of a graphic sign.
