ABSTRACT

Since the late 1970s, members of our research group have been actively involved in classroom research in several second language (L2) teaching/learning environments. During this time, we have worked closely with many classroom teachers. Our purpose in this chapter is to describe how we have involved and interacted with teachers in our investigations of the relationship between teaching and learning in L2 classrooms. We begin by providing a brief description of the educational context in which most of our recent research has taken place.
