Several of the stories in this section depict teachers working with students of different ethnic or socioeconomic backgrounds from themselves. What are some of the inherent difficulties of teaching students whose color and culture is different from your own? How do the teachers here attempt to bridge race and class differences? In what ways are they successful or unsuccessful?
