ABSTRACT
War, the failure of more peaceful means of interactions, has as its goal the gaining of dominance over the wealth of a region by controlling the factors of production, land, labor, and capital. A victim role is one in which an innocent person receives suffering because of actions taken by others. Civil wars and insurrections are the predominant form of warfare in the modern world among the developing nations. The reactor role, while it may be thrust upon an individual quickly, is not limited to a short demand on the energies of a woman, nor to any particular age group. During the Chinese revolution, many women were combatants with the communist forces. As the need for military forces in China decreased after 1949, the roles and numbers of women in the Chinese military changed. During the Vietnam War, Vietnamese women of all political persuasions demonstrated against the various governments established in the South.
