A Curriculum for Training Teachers of Culturally Diverse Young Children with Disabilities

This chapter describes an ongoing process in the implementation of a preservice, early childhood teacher-training program as it incorporates a new curriculum strand. First, a description of the rationale for the inclusion of curricular changes is presented. Then the steps involved in selecting and integrating the new components are reviewed. The impact of the changes will be clarified as we discuss our plans for the future.
