ABSTRACT
The American University celebrated a memorable event on 29 October 1966 when it dedicated its newly constructed David Lloyd Kreeger Music Building and welcomed David Diamond to the “campus on the hill” in Washington, D.C. Diamond’s String Quartet No. 10 was commissioned by the university in honor of the building and was premiered by the resident Lywen String Quartet.
