Determining Police Response to Domestic Violence Victims

This article examines when and if victim preferences affect the decision to arrest. As extensively discussed earlier, arrest of domestic violence offenders is not the normal predicted outcome after police intervention. In those relatively few circumstances where police are called, arrest usually does not occur.
