ABSTRACT

Just as the progress of early development in the infant moves toward a broader world view, refined competencies, and beneficial alliances, likewise, the movement of early childhood issues, over recent years, has broadened and expanded. In its infancy, early childhood education discovered itself and began to flex its hand to grasp the essence of what it was to be a young child. It began to identify the caregivers, attachments, and linkages formed rather naturally from those who met the needs and delivered the services. As it grew, it started to look at itself and examine its abilities. Finally, at the end of its infancy, it developed language, mobility, independence.
