ABSTRACT
A woman visits a guesthouse in Cumbria in search of her husband, David, who has been missing for several days. Although the residents of the guesthouse originally deny any knowledge of David it becomes apparent that he did in fact stay with them for some time. In flashback we see that David is a journalist struggling to find a ‘big’ story with which to revive his career. It also becomes apparent that David is struggling with several conflicting emotions – not only concern about his job but also his growing hatred for his loving wife.
